Our standards
A vintage watch is only as good as the description that comes with it.
01
Sourcing
Pieces come from Japanese auction houses, European estates and long-standing private collections. We bid on condition, originality and honesty of the seller — never on hype.
02
Inspection
Case, dial, hands and movement are examined under magnification. We note redials, replacement parts, service hands and polishing, and photograph what we find.
03
Servicing
Where a movement needs attention it is cleaned, lubricated and regulated by a watchmaker. Where it runs well within tolerance, we leave it alone and tell you so.
04
Description
Every listing states the reference, approximate year, condition, and what comes with the watch. If it has no box or papers, the listing says exactly that.
